Hi Anthony. Thanks for presenting us common mistakes when training arms. When I started bodybuilding I've been doing to many sets for biceps (10-12). After 7 months i've heard it could easily lead to overtraining and I was wondering if it was true because the day after I didn't feel pain or even fatigue in my biceps. Nevertheless, I changed to 6-8 sets and now after 3 months I've noticed that my biceps grow little faster than before. My biceps grew only 5-6 cm after first 7 months of training. What is your opinion of this? Was it really overtraining?

Thanks Lorne. Full body exercise is extremely important. Too many guys spend all of their time doing isolation exercises. Spend more time on full body exercises and you will definitley reap better results.

Thanks Lorne and great suggestion. If you're working out sick or not, you should always take advantage of the gym's anti-bacterial cleansers for your hands and also the sprays for the equipment you were using.

Anther good article.

I would add 'Full Body' exercise is important. Ripping up the muscle fibres during a full body workout causes your Resting Metabolic Rate to stay high for days rather than just hours as with aerobic exercises.

No carbs after dinner is a good rule as well. As you don't need the body having to break down the carbs in the evening and having to store it as fat during your inactive phase of the day.

Regards,
Lorne

Hi Anthony,

Good article. Don\'t go to the gym if your body is trying to tell you something (i.e. your throwing up). Keep it to yourself, rest and recover.

The gym I go to (down-under) has one of those hand wash gel dispensers at the front desk which is worth keeping the hands \'germ-free\'. If your gym doesn\'t have one, ask the manager to get a few in. Well worth it.

Regards,
Lorne

You're right, just enjoy yourself during the holidays and try to make healthy choices. No need to set unrealistic goals and let yourself down.

Hey Anthony! It's me Dirty from Cs =P I actually started to work out (yet again) and going to keep to it this time i\'ve read a lot of the stuff you posted and im about to start following it. The first time i started to work out i completely screwed up over did my workouts kept with the same routine and i ended up straining most of my neck muscles to a point where i almost ripped one =( But now i have a question for you.

I want to build muscle im at 150 right now but i also want to have a nice stomach and what not. What do you think would be better to do bulk then burn orr a bit of both?
